			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Tuesday night ride was epic.  43.2 kms, dust, then drizzle, couple of flats, close call with a deer, lot&#8217;s of dark, some canned light, cold beverages&#8230;good times.  It&#8217;s the time of year where the familiar singletrack becomes the unfamiliar.  With half the group bringing lights, there was lots of light poaching going on after sunset.  Looking forward to some of the best riding of the year now that Fall is kicking in.  Ride time is still 6:30, bring a light.</p>

Not bad for a 1st effort on a 24 hour race.  Best part was Alf describing how he and Jason showed up in a station wagon, no lawn chairs, no support crew.  Just bikes, lights and food.  Thanks to the organizers who laid out a fun course and created a memorable event.  Next year Tinker comes out in force!</p></div>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a rel="attachment wp-att-1604" href="http://www.tinkercreekcycle.ca/uncategorized/the-deerskull-is-back/attachment/007-tcc/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-1604" title="007 tcc" src="http://www.tinkercreekcycle.ca/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/007-tcc.jpg" alt="" width="600" height="496" /></a>Tuesday night ride rocked.  Alf had scouted trails and what had been covered by a foot of rotten snow a week ago was in prime shape.  Apart from some of the margins near open fields, the entire deer skull line was fantastic!  A soft base under a dry cover made the flow a little sluggish but it was great to play on singletrack again.  Good turnout, lot&#8217;s of visiting stops&#8230;just good to hang out with the gang again.  Rick W came late after birthing calves or something and ended up riding the Big Loeppky, thinking that is where we had gone.  Little did he know we had shuttled the bikes via the Lariat cowboy-mobile to the base of the stonehenge and staged the deerskull from there.  Rick said the Loeppky was fantastic once he got through the tiger poop in the dips leading up to the trailhead.  Next week ride start time will be 6:30.  Alf had the hi-tech idea of posting the ride on a white board so those coming later would know who went where&#8230;.with all the choices of trails around Tinker, what can I say.</p>
<p>Yeah, I know, pics would be a good thing.  I&#8217;m open to anyone taking on the club photographer role.  I&#8217;ll post some soon.</p>
