Back 40 Recap

It’s official, Greg Sherwin is fast (80 km winner). Cat has great timing and did the full 80km (right on). Trail conditions were really good. New racers want to know their time even more than experienced racers. Pizza seems like far less work than BBQs and farmer’s sausage. Lincoln and Ramona ran the entire kids zone area, even the big kids were having fun there (Luc). I will let the 2010 Butter Belt winner spread that news himself, 80km earns him the right.

More post race info will come in the coming days, once some photos come etc. Thanks to those who supported the race.

NOTE: if you have any photos from the Back 40 and don’t mind us putting them on our blog/website, please email them to me in a small file format, with the email being no more than about 5 mb. kevinb(at)elementbdesign.com

Fantastic Race guys. Your hard work in trail maintenance really paid off. The back 40 plates were a really nice touch! Shirt Design was stellar. Thanks again!!

THAT was how an event should be run… Lots of notice beforehand on the MCA website. Lots of trail markers. Starting on time…
Not like 5 days before a race and we’re still looking for race info.
Well done guys, excellent job. Other race organizers should learn from you.
And pizza is a lousy post race food choice!!!! Bring on the farmer sausage!!!!

Big thanks to Alf for making some structures for the kids to enjoy. Also Tim Loewen for bringing the big teeter totter. They loved it all.
